Second Saturday – Rhino Rift

SRT Practice.
Duration – 3 – 4 hours.
Location – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00.
There is a party size limit of 6 persons so if more people attend we will split into suitable size groups.
The plan is to rig both the left and right hand routes in Rhino Rift. This will allow people to brush up on their SRT skills before the summer trip to the Felix Trombe.
For those that have not been to Rhino before, it offers a series of 3 medium length pitches (20 to 30m) that include a variety of obstacles (re-belays and deviations) descending down a single large rift.
The left hand route is somewhat easier than the right hand one.
A full SRT kit is required.
You will need a CCC permit. This is free and can be arranged on-line on the day, if necessary.
