Swildon’s Hole – Pirate Chamber
Duration – 3 – 4 hours.
Location – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00.
This trip will be to the seldom visited Pirate Chamber in Swildon’s Hole. This trip involves passing the Mud Sump (it should be dry) and descending Shatter Pot. From there Shatter Passage is followed through two ducks and some crawling to emerge at the impressively large Pirate Chamber.
No special equipment is required, although a belay belt is recommended for the ladder pitches.
A goodwill fee is payable to the landowner (£1 per person).
