Thrupe Lane Swallet.
Duration – 3 – 5 hours.
Location – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00.
Thrupe Lane Swallet a large system on East Mendip with extensive vertical development.
The aim of the trip will be to enter the cave via the normal entrance (for those happy with SRT) and via Hob Nail Hole (for those that don’t wish to use SRT). We will then proceed down Marble Streamway to the awe inspiring view out over Atlas pot. An SRT route will be rigged to allow a descent to the floor of the pot.
SRT kit is required if entering the cave via the Thrupe Lane entrance and / or descending to the floor of Atlas.
