Duration 2 – 3 hours

Location – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10.00am

Following a request from one of our more senior members we will aim to explore most of Sludge Pit Hole. This will include the main streamway to the terminal sump, the Maze, Triple Arch and Four Pots passage, Skeleton series, Limlet inlet, the Shale series, etc. We may even have a look at the Mud-tube dig but I suspect our enthusiasm maybe too depleted by then.

This will be a predominantly dry trip. A belay belt is recommended for the ladder pitch at the entrance and a goodwill fee is payable to the landowner (£1 per person).

As this is the last trip before Xmas, feel free to wear fancy dress. Claire has kindly offered to make food (a Chilli – both meat and veggie) at the hut afterward. This will be served along with mulled wine and beer plus any deserts you care to bring along. A contribution of £4 per head would be appreciated. Please let me know via email if you would like food so we can get some idea of the numbers.

Later in the evening is Brian Hansford’s wake with the opportunity for more food and beer.
