It contains some large passages and fine formations. The aim of the trip is to visit the Barmaids’ Bedroom to view the Pleistocene bones and then descend Pewter Pot to visit the impressive Broon Ale Boulevard. \nNo special equipment is required\, although a belay belt is recommended for the ladder pitches.

DESCRIPTION:Duration – 3 – 4 hours.\nLocation – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00.\nThe aim of this trip will be to visit the well decorated passages and chambers beyond Ladder Dig in GB.\nThere is a party size limit of 6 persons so if more people attend we will split into suitable size groups.\nWe will descend the cave via the Loop and Oxbow (to avoid the boulder fall in Main Chamber) to arrive at Ladder Dig. Once up the ladder and through the duck\, we will visit Bat Passage then make our way to Disappointment chamber and finally ascend from there to emerge half way up Great Chamber.\nThis will be a predominantly dry trip\, although you may get wet in the duck.\nA belay belt is recommended for the ladder.\nYou will need a CCC permit. This is free and can be arranged on-line on the day\, if necessary.

This seldom visited part of Swildon’s has a number of points of interest.\nPlease note that the Black Hole series lies beyond Sump 1 and thus passing the sump will be necessary.\nNo special equipment is required\, although a belay belt is recommended for the ladder pitches (especially the Black Hole ladder which is quite long!) and perhaps a wetsuit hood for passing the sump.\nA goodwill fee is payable to the landowner (£1 per person).

DESCRIPTION:If you are planning to come out to the Felix Trombe this summer then why not join us at the Bradford Pothole Club in Yorkshire for a SRT training / practice weekend? \nThis will be an ideal opportunity to brush up on your SRT skills and also meet some of the other Wessex members who will be going on the trip. \nWe will be staying at “The Dump” in Brackenbottom\, Horton in Ribblesdale (BD24 0EU). It is booked for the Friday\, Saturday and Sunday nights and will cost £5 per person per night. \nYou will need to bring your own breakfast.
