DESCRIPTION:Duration – 3 – 5 hours. \nLocation – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00. \nThrupe Lane Swallet is a large system on Eastern Mendip with extensive vertical development.\nThe aim of the trip will be to enter the cave via the normal entrance (for those happy with SRT) and via Hobnail Hole (for those that don’t wish to use SRT).\nWe will then proceed down the Marble Streamway to the awe-inspiring view out over Atlas pot.\nAn SRT route will be rigged to allow a descent to the floor of the pot. \nSRT kit is required if entering the cave via the Thrupe Lane entrance and / or descending to the floor of Atlas.
