DESCRIPTION:If you are planning to come out to the Berger this summer then why not join us in Yorkshire for a final training weekend? \nThis will be an ideal opportunity to brush up on your SRT skills and also meet some of the other members who will be going out to the Berger. \nWe will be staying at the “The Dump”\, the Bradford Pothole Club’s hut in Brackenbottom\, just outside of Horton-in-Ribblesdale (BD24 0EU). It is booked for the Friday and Saturday nights. You’ll need to bring food for breakfast but we’ll book a table at the Indian in Settle for Saturday night. The two pub’s in Horton (15 minute walk) both serve food as well. \nWeekend activities will include options for:-\n• Indoor SRT training\n• Saturday – Gaping Gill – Flood\, Stream and Dihedral\n• Sunday – Ireby Fell Cavern \nMore details here

If you’ve never done it before\, or are a little uncertain of the route\, here is your opportunity. This will be quite an aqueous trip involving a number of ducks and passing through Sump 1 at least once! \nNo special equipment is required\, although a belay belt is recommended for the ladder pitch and those who feel the cold may want to wear some neoprene. \nIn the event that the Mud Sump is not passable an alternative round trip will be done. \nA goodwill fee is payable to the landowner (£1 per person).
