DESCRIPTION:Thrupe Lane Swallet / Hobnail Hole \nDuration – 3 – 4 hours. \nLocation – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00. \nThe plan is to rig Thrupe Lane Swallet for an SRT visit to the bottom.\nThis will entail the entrance pitch\, Perseverance Pot\, followed by Marble Streamway to Atlas pot.\nAtlas pot will be descend by either the Lateral Pitch or Slither Pot. \nAn alternative non-SRT trip will be offered down Hobnail (weather permitting) and will join Thrupe Lane Swallet at Butt’s Chamber and proceed down Marble Streamway to Atlas pot. \nFull SRT kit will be needed for the Thrupe Lane Swallet route and no special equipment will be needed for the Hobnail route.

DESCRIPTION:Swildon’s Hole – Approach Passage Round Trip\nDuration – 3 – 4 hours.\nLocation – Meet at Upper Pitts at 10:00.\nThis is a “sporting round trip” consisting of traversing high above the Swildon’s 2 streamway to the bold step into Approach Passage.\nFrom here\, a route will be taken past the entrance to Abandon Hope\, down the 12m climb and back to the streamway via Howard’s Dig.\nPlease note that Approach Passage lies beyond Sump I and thus passing the sump will be necessary.\nNo special equipment is required\, although a belay belt is recommended for the ladder pitch.\nYou may also want Cow’s Tails for the bold step.\nThe trip does involve a number of free climbs so a head-for-heights would be helpful.\nA goodwill fee is payable to the landowner (£2 per person).
