Are the WCC off to the Berger in 08?

Can anyone confirm the rumours that we are off to the Berger in 08 and if so what dates have been penciled in?

There was talk of doing a joint trip with the NPC. The general feeling was that we've been to the Berger fairly recently (well 2002 seems recent to me) and it would be better in 2009.

However Vercor 2008 is happening 23-30 August. This is going to be BIG. As part of it 20 odd caves are going to be rigged including the Berger and Trou Qui Souffle. See the camps section on http://www.vercors2008.ffspeleo.fr/training.htm#training.

I think it would be an excellent idea for the club to go to the Vercors this year and time it so we can take advantage of all that is on offer at this event.

What do people think?

So loads of caves are gonna be pre-rigged saving us time, effort and money.
We're going to get a chance to do some of the less well known (or publicised) systems in the area.
And we're going to have a big piss up with cavers from across the world.

Things is, I think we get a big discount if we book before Oct 31 (or is that thinking to far ahead in the future?)
